I wonder if all drawings go through this phase.
At the moment I am a bit scared of what I have created here. I thought that adding the face and hair I would feel better about it (the floating features were really beginning to freak me out).
He did go through a moment where he looked a bit like Beethoven, but we seem to be over that now at least.
Adding more shadows to the face does help, even though it doesn't feel like it at the time. I'm going to try turning the drawing and the original upside down for this bit as I think it's too easy to get distracted on why a certain bit is darker than others. I need to just focus on what is darker than other bits.
It sounds so simple, doesn't it?
