Apparently this doodle has got a special name - it is a Zentangle.
I think, I don't know for sure. I didn't bother to watch the YouTube video I found about this as the video was boring and doing zentangling looked much more fun than watching someone else chat about it.
I've not read much about Zentangles as the little that I have read has put me off somewhat. It seems to me to be a weird mix of 'zen'- just do what feels right and let the mood take you - together with a regimented - if you do choose to use a different type of pencil or coloured paper then it isn't actually a Zentangle, actually.
Also, the Zentangle is trademarked.
I'm not buying into this whole thing, although I do admit it was a lot, lot of fun to doodle the above doodle. I just don't think we need a shit load of rules to make art.
