More Portrait Practice

Some more ladies...

More Portraiting...

This is so much fun! Here's my next victim. Not finished yet, but I like how it looks at the moment so I wanted to capture this in case I ruin it later by over shading. I think this is what went wrong with my previous lady.

Portrait of a Lady

Original: (in case you can't tell which is the original and which is my drawing!)

New Picture of Bob

Another picture of Bob. I like this one better, but it still doesn't look like Bob Dylan for some reason.

Picture of Bob Dylan

I have decided to draw a picture of Bob Dylan. It is based on this picture here:

This is how it started...

When you look at them next to each other like this, then it looks pretty bollocks, but I'm still quite pleased with this picture so far.

This is the first time I've drawn someone whose NOT facing straight forward. Ha ha! Also, I like the hair and face shape.

I don't know what I'm going to do about the mouth though...

Stage Two...

Unfinished Picture of the Mountains

This is the mountains outside our flat.

I quite like this picture because it actually looks quite a bit like the mountains outside of our flat. There's one particular bit that I'm proud of. On the right of the biggest mountain.

More Shading... but different

For a laugh I tried some shading using just the mechanical pencil and this is what happened.

Back To Shading

Shading is hard. I think it's the thing in drawing that you need to master in order to be good.

Some People With Noses and Mouths

Using my new found knowledge on noses and mouths, I then drew these.

Noses and Mouths

I decided I needed to practice noses and mouths, so I drew a lot of noses and mouths. Again, it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
